Family Members Eating Disorder Research Tele-class - Begins October 2011 (see days and dates below)SIGN UP TODAY!


Week One: Topics for this first session will focus on eating disorders versus disordered eating and how to care-give to ourselves, the caregiver.

Week Two: Learn how to separate your loved one from the eating disorder, setting boundaries, asking for help, and transitions. Guest will be an individual who has achieved full recovery.

Week Three: We will address the number one myth that parents/families cause eating disorders and how to embrace family conflict. Guest: Therapist specializing in eating disorders.

Week Four: We will discuss what to say/not say - what to do/not do, and receive practical tools for staying in balance and learn support skills for the caregiver.

Week Five: This session will concentrate on hidden losses - loss of dreams; riding the rollercoaster of emotions and books/resources.

Week Six: The focus of this last session will include types of treatment; using your strengths for positive change and honoring your gifts.

PRESENTERS: Becky Henry - Speaker and Eating Disorders Family Coach. She is the author of Just Tell Her To Stop: Family Stories of Eating Disorders. Rita Goldhammer - Leadership Coach, Author, and Bereavement Specialist. Her most recent book, Enrich Your Caregiving Journey, is about one of the most stressful transitions: caregiving.

PRICING: Tele-Class Registration is $127 per person for the six-week series (just over $21 for each hour long call). (The six-weekly sessions are designed to be taken in order. Sessions will be recorded and available if you miss a session.

DATES & TIMES: Three different times are available so choose which day of the week fits with your time zone best. You may register for one of days and that will be the day you attend each week (unless cleared ahead of time). Classes will begin the week of October 17th: (please see time zone conversions and note summer to fall changes in US (Nov 6th) and UK/EU (Oct 30th)

Tuesday Class - 5:30pm CDT/6:30pm EDT/8:30am Wednesday Australia

Wednesday Class - 8pm CDT/6pm PDT/ 11am Thursday Australia
